It was Rose Production's third year working with UNICEF on their annual Halloween Ball at No 1 Mayfair. This year it was decided on a theme of FREAKY CIRCUS to kick off the Halloween festivities.
On arrival, the talented team at Look Left Look Right lead the Halloween revellers on an interactive journey down to the crypt. Guests were shown in to secret rooms to have their tarot read and found themselves privy to the back stage madness of the circus where clowns roamed wildly and strong men prepared for their night ahead. As they found their way upstairs, all were welcomed with smoking margarita martini cocktails and food carts serving a variety of food from Mexican tacquitos to classic circus fare including mini mac n cheese with truffle, pop corn chicken and mini slider burgers with cheddar rarebit.
George Lamb acted as the colourful ring master pulling together an evening of wild entertainment including fire juggling and acrobatics, occasionally handing over the microphone to UNICEF ambassador Michael Sheen who delivered the most heart wrenching, powerful speech about his experiences in the Syrian refugee camps. This prompted the electric live auction, lead by Sotheby's Lord Harry Dalmeny which alongside the silent auction and the pound for pound government matching, raised an awe inspiring £1,600,000 for the children of Syria.
The celebrations then exploded with a trio of live performances from the beautiful Jessie Ware, who sang an acoustic set with her band, Rita Ora accompanied by five incredible dancers and to end the evening the perfect DJ set from Mark Ronson and Hugo Heathcote.
Other guests included Arizona Muse, Poppy Delevingne, Steve Coogan, Hugh Grant, Jemima Khan, Elise Sednaoui, Camilla Al Fayed, Alice Temperley and Greg Williams, Gala Gordon, Matthew Frued, Martha Ward and Noor Fares.
